Does toyandparty.com apply sales tax?
Like all retailers in Canada we must collect and submit Sales Tax.
When you are logged in as a customer the correct HST value will be displayed based on the provincial rate for your address. When you are not logged in and browsing as a guest the website will only estimate taxes based on the federal 5% HST rate.
Are credit card transactions safe?
We take the security of your personal and payment information very seriously at The Party Store - ToyandParty.com.
When you provide us with any personal information - your name, address, e-mail and credit card number - it is done on a secure server. One of todays most advanced security systems - Secure Socket Layers (SSL) - encrypts all information you provide before sending it to our own server. Only when it reaches the toyandparty.com servers is your information decrypted.
How can I tell if the ToyandParty website is secure?
When looking to see if a website is using a secure server you have two things to look for - the lock symbol built in to almost all web browser software and the address line which should start with https://.
Our entire website is secured via SSL encryption - so nothing you type into our website can be seen by outsiders. Your own computer system and internet provider may be tracking what you type from your end (that is why when you "Google" something it shows up as advertisments everywhere like Facebook), but regardless your data cannot be intercepted through the internet.
Payments are processed directly by PayPal. At no time is your payment information every revealed to us or stored on our server.

Will I be charged DUTY or Broker Fees?
For shipments across Canada: As a Canadian owned and operated company we have prepaid all Duty fees on all products we carry. There will never be an additional charge to you for any product shipped in Canada. When we set our prices online we calculate all duty, exchange rate and broker fees to come up with the best price we can offer. If you are comparison shopping online please take this into consideration when viewing sites based outside of Canada.
